Sun - 2 hours 15 (easy?)

First hour or so felt ok (ish) but somewhat tired. The last 45 minutes I felt dreadful, depleted, no energy, finding it hard to move. This coupled with some good old fashioned niggling from my heels made finishing the run seem impossible. Had to stop at one stage as I just couldn't put one foot in front of the other. Something is wrong. The last time I felt like this I had lost over 2 pints of blood after a burst stomach ulcer. That day I was lucky to even make it home, before collapsing. Maybe I've just got to stop and get on with life. I don't know...

Mon - No running.  Have felt terribly lethargic. Could hardly raise myself to get out of bed. Managed a morning of teaching and attended an emergency appointment at the dentist. Turns out I have a badly infected back tooth that needs removing. Doctor said this is probably a major factor in my recent health and could have been building over weeks. On a course of antibiotics and surgery tomorrow. Also have a consultation about my heels in the morning. It's all happening, but just not the way I would like it. Still have hope.

Tue - No running. Feel awful today. Had dental work this afternoon (root canals). Much discomfort. Dentist said this infection could have building for weeks and in his opinion was as bad as it gets. A real lack of energy following 5 or 6 injections and 30 mins + in the chair. (Mint humbugs and refresher chews are definitely a no no!) Can't raise myself to even eat. Had my foot looked at and I had an insole made up to try. Not convinced, but running out of options. It's the dark side again and I've got to get back and find some light. It's not over yet.

Wed - No running. Not any better. Feel drained, tired and lifeless. Not an ideal feeling for any move towards exercise. It's all caught up with me. Trying to train, work, ignore aches, pains etc. I'm not a machine. Expected too much....

Thu - 45 mins (easy) Quite lethargic and a bit dizzy at times. Not great.

Fri - 28 mins (easy) Pretty uncomfortable and time went very slowly.

Sat - 41 mins (easy) Felt very tired and heavy.

Not a great week. Need to try and get back, but need to be careful. Going to give myself 6 weeks and see where things go.
