Have definitely got back on track this week. Again the sometimes upredictive nature of life has reared it's head both in and out of running. As far as pain is concerned, it's been a week of two halves, but I have certainly had runs where I have felt old times coming through. More of that and things will really start going.

Sun - 2 hours 5 mins (easy) various routes off road... with HW LF and RL

Mon - 65 mins - icl Monday route 55.04 (over 4 mins off my best time and it felt quite comfortable). = strides + circuits

Tue - 65 mins - incl. 6 x 2mins 20 (1.45 stand rec) A good workout moving quite well

Wed - 78 mins (easy) with RL (In quite a bit of pain. Badly sprained hand and a facial injury made running seem easy)

Thu - 70 mins incl Number Stride Fartlek x 4k. Opted for a light workout as tired. This is great because it just gets the legs turning over without pressure of time or distance covered.

Fri am - 20-30 mins light jogging with School Team

     pm - 23 mins (easy)

Sat pm 33 mins (easy)

Yes, a better week. Still having to watch myself and take care of achilles'. Can be quite problematic.

As far as Ashford and District 10k.... well I might and I might not. I'm sure I'm in better shape than last year, but at the same time I could run much faster and it could go the other way. I never read too much into isolated runs that are quicker or workouts, unless the races are also progressing.

When you haven't raced, you can't measure. So if I go, the result could be quite enlightening. It would be nice to claw back some form, but it is early days in my plan and that plan has been somewhat hampered in recent weeks. Trial in October is getting closer to my thoughts.

It's great to see John's training is going well and it would also be great if S.K.H. could repeat the excellent team win of last year in the Ashford and District 10 k ! I hope the club are able to get a team together for this year's event.
